Good Quick Read
This was a good quick read. The prose was well written and the story very simple to follow. The story resonates with the reader as I'm sure most have had a moment where they look back and wonder if they knew the whole situation about a particular situation. The story lacked any twist but the straightforward dialog was very well-written and engaging.

Eight moments of wasted time
The first couple of parts of the story made it seem interesting, i had the plot figured out before the middle, and the rest of it was entirely dead weight. No twist, no finish, just faded out like a homogeneous pop song on the radio.

Typical Lawrence Block
Which is to say: Entertaining, Well-drawn characters, nice plot with a twist. Very enjoyable.
