Dance of the Wolf

Author’s Note

Dear Reader,

Thanks to all of you who have written me to let me know you love THE PACK. I’m glad you enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoy writing them. Since the first Pack book came out in 2004, I’ve had a ringside seat to view these stories unfolding around me. The men and women in these books have become special to me, and with each new book I’m able to explore different aspects of their diverse lives.

Being a shape-shifter brings the word diversity to a new level. In real life, there will always be those who can’t look past the outside to see the real person within, just as there are those who celebrate the differences and similarities among all of us. In most of these books, I explore the dynamics of the human/shifter relationship. It always fascinates me to see how my hero or heroine reacts upon learning there is more to the world than at first the eye can see.

I hope you enjoy Dance of the Wolf. When I originally came up with the title, I envisioned Dr. Jared Gies, a man once crippled by a car accident, finally dancing with the love of his life, Elena Cabrera. While he doesn’t actually physically dance, I believe his spirit does, in celebration of the freedom of the love he finally finds.

Look for my next Pack book, working title Wild Wolf, to be published by Silhouette Nocturne in 2009.

Until next time, happy reading!
