Description

Is every day “green” in your house or are you just beginning to make changes? Are you weary of to-do lists, not ready to buy an electric car or, do you scrutinize every label, only buy organic and get mad when you can’t recycle something?

Have you noticed that your family, friends and neighbors are composting, planting a garden, mowing the lawn without fossil fuel or bringing reusable bags to the store?

Have you noticed that your grocery shelves are more fully stocked with “green” options than just a few years ago?

If you’re like me, you’re probably somewhere in between what the media calls “going green” and I call “waking up.” I woke up 21 years ago when I decided to bring my own cloth bags to the store. That started me on a personal journey of a life of less plastic.

Have you started and, if so, where did you start?

Was it an AHA moment or a DUH moment that got you started?

This is a collection of stories from people who have been inspired to start; to make different choices about how they live, what they buy and what they do for work. If you add it all up you can see that a lot of change is happening and it’s happening all over.

My hope is that you will connect and resonate with the stories that I’ve collected and, if inspired, add yours.

“Many drops make a bucket, many buckets make a pond, many ponds make a lake, and many lakes make an ocean.”

Inspiring and helpful

Just for all the e-mail web-sites alone this is worth reading. The postive and inspiring messages were ones you wanted to share, and practice. A very useful read, as well as thoughtful and helpful.
