Description
Millions of Americans keep bedside books of prayer and meditative reflection -- collections of daily passages to stimulate spiritual thought and advancement. The Intellectual Devotional on DailyLit is a secular version of the same - a collection of daily lessons taken from The Devoted Intellect blog that will inspire and invigorate the reader on a daily basis. Each nugget of wisdom is drawn from one of seven fields of knowledge: History, Literature, Philosophy, Mathematics & Science, Religion, Visual Arts, and Music.

Good, basic, biased
This piece was interesting but I found myself wanting more then what was given in almost every instance. It sent me to wikipedia to do more research which I suppose works out just fine. There was also an interesting voice that strayed sometimes from the pure reporting of various interesting things into the dangerous land of opinion which is fine so long as you are aware that it is there and should watch for it.

A mixed bag
Some of the topics were really interesting--others not so much. A real mishmash.
