Description
Geometry is one of the oldest branches of math—and its eternal rules still hold true today. It gives us the tools to describe the spaces, positions, shapes, lines, and figures and that make up our world. Without understanding how angles interact with each other, the Pythagorean Theorem, and how to calculate the area of a circle, we would be left without some of our most basic—and iconic—structures. The Coliseum, the on-ramp of a highway, the Sydney Opera House: for all these and more, we have Geometry to thank, first and foremost. This Khan video series will illuminate the science that makes possible some of the most important features of civilization.
