A misguided fairy wreaks havoc in this lighthearted and well-loved play. Lovers become confused and top becomes Bottom as mischief reigns supreme in a forest glen like no other.
Description
Mischievous and meddlesome fairies help to turn the human world upside down in A Midsummer Night's Dream, arguably the bard’s most famous and beloved comedy. The play begins with a love triangle: Hermia and Lysander are in love, but Hermia has been ordered to marry Demetrius. Rather than doing so, Hermia flees with Lysander into the forest, followed by Helena and Demetrius. As if all of this isn’t confusing enough, we are introduced to the troublemaking fairy Puck, who has been sent by the fairy king Oberon to play a trick on his wife Titania. Puck finds a magical flower which, if spread over the eyelids of sleeping men and women, will cause them to fall in love with the first thing they see upon waking. Puck’s use of the potion wreaks havoc on the four young people in the forest, as they inexplicably fall in and out of love with each other, breaking vows and hurting feelings. In the final scenes, Hermia, Helena, Lysander and Demetrius return to Athens, and each has been transformed by the magic of the forest in powerful and ultimately redeeming ways.

Imaginate & Complex...loved it
You really have to be in tune with Shakespearean language to stay into his work and take full effect of it. This story is so complex, so twisting and in the end it is exactly as it should be. I loved reading this book and hope to read other pieces from Shakespeares collection. This I believe, may remain my favorite however. It was very imaginative and showed the true genius that was Shakespeare.
