Edwin Drood Musical in London
The acclaimed London revival of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, staged to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth, is to transfer to the West End after a successful run at the Landor Theatre in south London. The Mystery of Edwin Drood, based on Dickens’ final unfinished novel, with book, music and lyrics by Rupert Holmes, directed by Matthew Gould, will get a 4-week season at the Arts Theatre from Friday 18 May - Sunday 17 June.

Hello Susan,
I’m proud to say that yes, I am. I’ve been secretly reading books on Dailylit for quite a while and thought it would be a good place to let Dickens fans know about the rare opportunity to see this musical performed. I hope it was okay for me to post here.
It plays a lot with literary references, the writing process of Dickens and the things going on behind-the-curtain at a theatre. It’s a wonderful show for literary nerds, like myself.May 7, 2012 7:50 pm
