Book & Review Forums: 100 Ways to Succeed/Make Money
kind of disappointed
I loved the line from New York Times columnist Tom Friedman: “When I was growing up, my parents used to say to me: ‘Finish your dinner—people in China are starving.’ I, by contrast, find myself wanting to say to my daughters: ‘Finish your homework—people in China and India are starving for your job.’”
What'that? China is so underdeveloped in someone'eyes. I ever wonder if he has ever been to China. If not, how can he draw that conclusion? Just by imagination? Definitely some parts of China are impoverished, but it is ture with most countries in the world——some parts developed, some developing and others underdeveloped.
I feel so sad that China was taken as a bad example by a guy who may nothing real about the country.
It hurts!
