Takes a bloody long time to read through Dailylit.
Pity you can't set how many parts the book will be sent it.May 19, 2007 1:18 am

We are working on the ability to let you customize the size of installments. In the meantime, it's fairly easy to click the "send the next installment" link to speed things up.

(responding to old post from someone who apparently has finished the book, but ...) Yes, I like the humor - sudden little turns of phrase that make you chuckle, and so dry sometimes that you don't catch the comic edge until after you've read it.
Anyone reading GE now?Mar 6, 2008 8:57 am

I love that book =) I love Dickens's humor...he writes with his tongue firmly in cheek. Anyone read Nicholas Nickleby? It's total melodrama, but very entertaining!

I think it's beautifully written - lots of telling details, great evocation of time and place and, as mentioned, loads of humor (although of an older vintage - not "in-your-face" humor).
