Book & Review Forums: You Can't Judge a Book by its Cover
Insightful and perceptive author

This marks my introduction to Dewey's writing and to DailyLit. Dewey's work resonates with me, and I admire her active verbs, fast pace, and her clear compassion for survivors. Just finished this in one sitting and await "Anonymous", with the first installment of another book already here. (The pain of freelance work from a home office: this is not billable time!)

Anonymous ranked probably third for me out of the Dewey books offered on DailyLit. Be sure and read "An Unfinished Death". It's another great Dewy book!

What didn't you like about "Anonymous?" I found the story riveting and the double twist at the end was a huge shock for me. I also liked the way Dewey wove in the metaphor of Jane Perry being "anonymous" regarding her new sobriety and the backstory of the mysterious woman in her office. I don't want to give away the twist but the whole subject matter of what the woman does left me thinking for days after I finished the story. In other words, I wonder if someone were desperate, if that could have really happened???
