Anyone Reading Wives and Daughters?

I had heard of EG, but never read any of her novels, though I have read dozens of US 19th-century novels by/about women. It's been interesting to see how easily I can guess what will happen next, but still remain interested in the story. I'm reading an equally long novel at home--the new Pynchon....
