Book & Review Forums: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

New edition censors classic novel Huckleberry Finn.

3 out of 5

There are many famous novels by famous authors. Some of which has a new edition. Classic or new, a novel must still have its essence and message according to what the author had in mind the time it was written. A new edition of Mark Twain’s classic book “Huckleberry Finn” is causing controversy. NewSouth Books is publishing the book with particular words omitted - words that many discover offensive. Quite a few say censoring the book, which depicted common speech of the time, is a greater offense than the terms used. Let's hope that payday loans were not used to fund the censorship of an excellent novel.
