Book & Review Forums: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
An Incredible Read (This Coming From a Non-Believer)

I honestly didn't think that I would like Sherlock Holmes; I thought that the books themselves could never live up to the hype that the immortal Holmes had generated in popular culture. I was wrong. I am forever thankful to my friend, who recommended the book to me whole-heartedly, and I now recommend this book whole-heartedly to whoever may be reading this comment. I'm moving on to The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes! I'm a believer now!

I agree! I didn't think I'd enjoy it either, but with all the recent remakes on tv and at the movies I wondered how close they were to the original. I was impressed from the very first chapter, the way it's written is really clever. I'll be reading the other books as well. Hope you enjoy them. :)
