Book & Review Forums: Authors in the Kitchen

Boring.

1 out of 5

Unless you are die-hard fans of most of these authors, or you are really desperate to know what kinds of food these authors ate as a child, SKIP THIS BOOK. I'm just really glad I didn't spend any money on this. *snore* The only recipe in the book is for a cake... using a boxed cake mix.

  • I don't think you need to be interested in each author; it's a great glimpse into food memories across cultures. In many cases, the interviews reveal plenty about the writers' pasts and motivations--and how food nostalgia influences their writing. A keeper, in my book.
