Through the eyes of a child, scenes fr. Bengali Marriage...
This is a beautifully-written story of a Bengali family in 1970s Boston. Lahiri relays the cultural divisions between America and its new citizens. I loved that we witnessed the daughter's eventual understanding of her mother's life. Just a really beautiful story.
