Great book
As a child I read this book and own a rose called The Moonstone to this day. For a man with an addiction, he wrote interesting ideas.

You mentioned in forum that you thought the ending was somewhat sad.I agree,the death of Ezra Jenning was particularly moving.Interesting insight into his opium addiction.he needed it for pain control.I ,then just read about Wilkie Collins and they he may have been an addict.
