On your current service model surely DailyLit will always be challenged by the limitations of its book offerings--"I want the service but it doesn't have the classics I am looking for". I am thinking that you can break out of this bind by thinking of yourself as a provider of a text serialization service, rather than as a repository of literature. To get beyond the limits of the literature you house, allow users the option to provide a URL for any text file out on the web, and you just serve it up to them serially. Sure, it would not cut so cleanly, since you cannot preprocess it (into chapters and breakpoints), but you could make automated cuts clean enough, I think. This option would vastly increase the value of the service. E.g., the entire Gutenberg Project catalog would become available for serialization. Best, gr
