What about Tolkien (fame of LOTR)

I believe these books are now in public domain, so could these be added?

  • Tolkien's works are all still copyrighted. Even though the books read like they might be from a much earlier time they were all published in the mid 20th century. Tolkien died in 1973.

  • Yes, Tolkien's literary legacy is owned by his son Christopher Tolkien who has spent the last three decades collecting and editing his father's unfinished writings on Middle Earth and publishing them collectively as the "History of Middle Earth", which I believe is up to 13 volumes.
