How about the whole Bible?
How about the whole Bible not just a few books. Maybe like the KJV in order, etc.

I'm atheist but still feel I should read the entire KJV of the Bible from beginning to end. Years ago at the private religous college I attended, I covered most, but feel I should begin again.

The Bible is on our list of books to make available. Thanks for suggesting it.

I've read it through 3 times now and am working on the fourth. I choose a different translation every time -- started with KJV. Next I'll read the one that's written chronologically.

MaggieH, I don't know what translation you are looking at, but I would find it easier to read a more "modern" translation thank KJV (such as a free World English Bible (WEB) available at http://ebible.org/). I'd like to read the Bible through, but am struggling to keep up with the pace of "in a year". DailyLit-sized bites are great!

Spirit, breath, and wind all derive from the same Hebrew and Greek words. A person’s spirit is the very essence of that person’s life, which comes from God, who is a Spirit being (John 4:24, Genesis 1:2; 2:7). The Bible distinguishes between a person’s spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 4:12). Some beings may exist as spirits without necessarily having a visible body, such as angels and demons (Luke 9:39, 1 John 4:1-3).
