Fitzgerald's Tales of Jazz Age - LADEN WITH ERRORS! help!

I JUST joined DailyLit yesterday. Got my first installment today. Fitzgerald's Tales of the Jazz Age. THERE ARE PUNCTUATION and LAYOUT ERRORS! Mr. Fitzgerald would be VERY upset. The most glaring example is in the very last line of the excerpt sent to me: "His mind was working persistently on a problem that had held his
attention for an. The Jelly-bean had been invited to a party."

For "an" what?! And there was this wonderful period that someone stuck into to paragraph 5:
"remembering Jim's. mother"

I've read Fitzgerald extensively....if DailyLit is going to offer these works, they need to be presented in proper form, as they appeared in print.

  • We apologize for the errors in Tales of the Jazz Age. These errors crept in from the public domain source that we were using. We have fixed the errors in the first installment and will review the remainder of the text. Thanks for pointing out the problem.

  • We have reviewed -- not read -- the remaining installments and corrected a few more mistakes. Please let us know if you find additional ones. As for layout, the plain text emails are limited in what can be achieved, but have the big advantage of displaying on the largest number of devices (e.g. smartphones).
