What kind of comics are being targeted? Any chance of getting Tintin or Asterix comics (although I have read all of them, I would love to re-read them all once again).

Wow, it's been a while. Any word on this happening yet? I've been getting my fix at the local library, but I'd like to be able to secretly read from my email at work :)

Sorry for the delay--we're working on getting HTML up and running, and we're definitely going to be offering comics after the HTML is ready to go. Stay tuned!

One way to do this would be with vintage newspaper comic strips. I would suggest LITTLE ANNIE ROONEY, THE TIMID SOUL, POGO, ABBIE AND SLATS, TOOTS AND CASPER, SMOKY STOVER. Take a look at what King Features does with their DailyINK email service; it's great to start each day reading a single BUZ SAWYER strip from 1945.

I would love to see some old serialized comics as well as newer manga and graphic novels. Any word now that HTML appears in the delivery options?

King Features' excellent DailyINK could serve as a model: http://www.dailyink.com/en-us/content_offerings/features.php?category=Vintage Readers pay $15 a year to have classic and current strips delivered daily in email. But since King only offers 11 vintage strips, there's plenty of room for DailyLit to step in with more strips (and there are certainly many public domain strips).

Unfortunately we've found that making comics and manga work in the DailyLit format (and within the technological restraints of delivering emails) is very difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. We'd love to be able to offer them but it may take us longer than expected to make it work.

Are you going to include Kerou on your site?, I think he is one of the best users of the English language, www.kerou.net shows some of his early work.

Thanks for suggesting Kerou, retroneo. His work is protected by copyright, but if folks are interested in seeing his works on DailyLit we can look into acquiring the rights.
