Madame de Stael is so fascinating that I have moved-up Frances Burney's Diary and Letters of Madame D ' Arblay. Henry Adams: Mont-Saint-Michel and Chartes will complete my French overview. So thanks Dailylit and Ms. Diane von Furstenberg.

This may seem silly but the stories that have always stayed in my mind are fairy stories, they always take me back to when I was little!

Mme de Stael was a hero of mine as a teenager - thanks DVF for supporting this new bio. Thankful for Malcolm Gladwell and his ability to make me see the accepted in new ways and challenge everything. Outliers is incredible! Never stopped loving fantasy and fairy tales - someone should write a book about- what I learned from fairy tales to make it in the real world. Love the old Judge Dee books that are out of print. Keep the books I love near my bed as securiity blankets.

I'm thankful for Jack Spratt, Dr. Seuss & the Little Golden Books - these were my first experience with the magic of books and creative imagination. My Mother read to me everyday and this instilled in me a love of reading that has grown with me through the years. There are so many books that have touched me at various times in my life it's impossible to list them all - I'll just say that I am thankful to live in a place where I can choose what I want to read from a vast array of different styles, covering every conceivable subject.
