Question of the Week

People I Wish I Had Known

Thanks to "dreamdust" who suggested this week's question:

At 21, Jackie Kennedy won an essay contest by Vogue magazine answering this question-People I Wish I Had Known? Her answer was Oscar Wilde, Baudelaire, and Sergi Diaghilev. I think it would be interesting to see who DailyLit readers would want to know.

So, whom do you wish you had known?

  • I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet her and listen to her lecture at the NY Museum Of Natural History. The lecturer was Margaret Mead. I wish I had gotten to know her!

  • Kiribati, you inspired me! So I'll do the evening meal with Freud and Susan B. Anthony (imagine that conversation) and cocktails with Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Paine to hear how it really went down.

  • i wish i had known o.henry and edgar allan poe. i like their suspense, intriguing and surprising way of writing short stories. if i had known them, i would probably had asked them about tips on how to improve my way of doing shorts stories too, especially when it comes to my making of the climax part.:)

  • I would have to say Audrey Hepburn. She's one of my three idols, and the only one who isn't fictional. She was an amazing actress, and I'm sad I'll never get to speak with her.
