I do have some literary resolutions. I have taken 20 books from my To Be Read list to read during 2011. One that DailyLit can help me with is The Scarlet Letter.

I have spent most of my life trying to control my love of books. This year, I'm giving myself over completely to this hobby that gives me so much joy. Part of that is joining this site!

I find people get stuck reading one kind of style of book. So I make a real effort to read a variety of books, so I don't get stuck in a rut. So to read with purpose and direction, as well as pleasure is my resolution.

This year I am keeping a book log - to record the new information I learn from reading, instead of rushing past it (after a moment of wonder) and continuing with the plot.

Although almost halfway into 2011, I plan to read up my collection of books at home that have been on my shelf for variable periods of time: (a few months, 1year, 11/2 year )*sigh* as well as making a list of all the books as i read them so that i can evaluate my reading speed by how many books I've read in the year (& to retain their names & authors in the memory!) !!!
So to the books...my haven!Apr 30, 2011 12:20 pm
