  • The Art of Fielding, by Chad Harbach, is #1 on my list of books to read in 2012. Then John Milton's Paradise Lost.

  • Oh, I read that book (Art of Fielding) and loved it! Paradise Lost is a flashback to my college days. Good luck with your resolutions.

  • Infinite Jest is next on my to-read list. It's like our generation's "War and Peace" in that it's quite the challenge!

  • I read War and Peace this year--well worth it, and Daily Lit definitely helped me keep the pace to make it through. My "big book" for next year is going to be Peter Nadas' Parallel Stories. Also interested in 1Q84 by Murakami.

  • I have read 1984 in Turkish, but I hope to enjoy reading it in its original language.

  • I have a goal of reading one biogarphy of each president (on my bucket list). I am up to John Quincy Adams. If I read three or four more this year I will be ecstatic.

  • I am going to attempt Remembrance of Things Past (by Proust, of course). This is actually seven books, seven arduous books. A few years ago I bought a gorgeous set from Folio Society and they sit there mocking me every time I walk by. I am also going to try to finally get through Moby Dick and the Bible - to the end even!

  • I read this War and Peace this year because, and only because, Daily Lit made it possible to swallow it in small doses. I would never have finished it without you! I would love to read Remembrance of Things Past but I only have Vol 2 right now. I think this year I'll tackle Middlemarch or Tom Jones. I love Daily Lit!

  • I'm going on a sci fi binge this year, reading science fiction from steampunk to today. I'm not quite ready to take on War and Peace yet, but I did just finish The Fountainhead after reading it off and on for two years.

  • War and Peace if dailyLit has the new translation. Also Moby Dick, with some help from audible.com.

  • I'd like to read all novels by Haruki Murakami if DayLit has them.

  • @jkkeats, unfortunately DailyLit does not carry novels by Haruki Murakami since rights to them are not freely available; if of course they become available, we'd love to carry his books.

  • I'm simply trying to read this year. A book a month. I used to be an avid reader (biography, politics, historical fiction), but haven't picked up a book for pleasure in YEARS. I'm glad I found DailyLit to help. Yay, me!
