  • Stu from The Stand. Strong, silent, capable of kicking the Walking Dude's butt, sensitive enough for Frannie.

  • I don't know if he is the love of my life, but how about Mr. Knightly from Emma? Darcy is always in the spotlight.

  • Tho, I read Pride & Prejudice again each year, Rhett Butler would have been the love of my life/the one I never forgot, if encountered in the flesh.

  • It would be Westley from THE PRINCESS BRIDE, because "This is True Love, do you think it happens every day," and not even death could stop his love!

  • I've adored Sydney Carton, from "Tale of Two Cities" since I was 12. If I can't have him, I'd take, Horatio Hornblower, or Faramir.

  • The love of my life from a fictional character can not come close to the real LOVE of my life. If I had to choose a fictional character to be my life's love, it may well be Cinderella. But my actual real wife is the most perfect LOVE so never would I cheat myself from my perfect LOVE. My Madeline is the most perfect loving partner even when compared to fairytale beauties. She simply is TOPs!
I'm Blessed to keep my Madeline for ever. That includes even in my after life. Heaven can not be Heaven without my Madeline!

  • I don't know about love, but I would like to meet Janet Evanovich's character Ranger. He is so exciting and mysterious. But I agree with the comment above on Sam Vines. I could see myself with him. Actually, I think I'd rather be him. He leads an exciting life and is not home often enough to make a good husband!

  • Not to criticize, but I've never understood why Austen fans have been swooning over Mr. Darcy for so long. I'd rather have Mr. Knightley any day! He's just as rich as Darcy, and much more sensitive, perceptive, gentlemanly, and pleasant. If I couldn't have Mr. Knightley, my inner child still wants Tom Sawyer to be her boyfriend, because a date that involves playing hooky to go exploring caves and eating freshly caught fish sounds like the best. Date. Ever.

  • I can't believe that no one else selected Jamie from Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series. Tough, tender, manly and sensitive, confident and vulnerable--he's the ultimate man in my book.
