  • This is a very difficult one to answer! I am currently very enamored with British Pre-Raphaelite painters like John William Waterhouse, Frederic Leighton and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. But I am also very fond of French Impressionists like Édouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet.
    Argh! Choices, choices, choices...

  • Modigliani - at 4'11", I have always wanted to be tall and slender!

  • @SherryKaraoke: love your response -- I suppose that's why Botero would be out of the question :). @Knitwitch: I'm a big fan of Rembrandt, although he might be a bit dark for me for my portrait. I wonder whether Leonardo or Michelangelo might be free for mine.

  • Caravaggio for me! Although I thought of Dali for a surreal experience-you do have to sit for quite awhile for portraits. But Caravaggio won because I love his work the best.

  • @dreamdust: but with Carravaggio, would you have to dress as Bacchus? :)

  • Picasso I don't take a very good picture, so he would do me justice.

  • Boris Vallejo. I'd end up with an impossible figure and an unrealistic tan, but I would look great in a bronze bikini holding a sword!

  • Salvador Dali... in the long run, it would look more like me than that by any other artist.

  • Chuck Close or Van Gogh----absolutely amazing portrait artists! I've never seen Close's work in person (I know it would blow my mind), and I have seen Van Gogh---breathtaking!
