  • Do you mean for the purpose of more easily finding books or so that there could be a separate forum?

  • I think (not sure) Classic is an Arbitrary and over used word. Classic music could be 100's of years old and a classic car is a classic at 20 years +. Maybe, you could go Something like. "Time-less" and something else. Just a suggestion

  • What about dividing it between pre-1700, 1700-1900, and post-1900?

  • While I have many of these books at home and love reaading them over and over again - who has the time? Now I can get a little snippet each morning at work...I love it. Also has my 13 year old reading the classics via e-mail and phone - he thinks it's cool and I think it's better than cool!! Can't wait until you start putting current titles on - I'll pay for it and it will be worth it! thank you thank you thank you.

  • Besides the books in the Classics category, you might be interested in taking our Wikipedia Tour: Greek Mythology, which takes you through all of the major gods and goddesses of Greek/Roman mythology.

  • lat62:

You might also want to check out Bullfinch's Mythology (also available on this site)

    http://www.dailylit.com/books/bulfinchs-mythology

It covers all of the major Greek myths. (The Romans did not really have any mythology of their own. For the most part they just renamed the Greek gods)

In addition to Greek mythology is also covers Norse, Eastern and Arthurian myths.

The only thing it does not seem to cover is the early myths about the origin of the Universe and the rise of the Olympian gods over the Titans.
