Book Requests - The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Definitely! I wish you could get annotated versions of these books, though... but that would probably get too complicated. Someday!
Anna Karenina - Anna Karenina
Reading this, I had a real sense of understanding why Tolstoy is the classic Russian author. It felt like you were reading Pride and Prejudice, or something like that, but everything just sounded so beautiful. Like he's writing in a different plane of being.
Does anyone else picture Anna as looking like Anna Karina? I can't help doing that!
Question of the Week - Question of the Week #14: Books You Hate
That book The Corrections that was a big seller a couple years ago. An author I was editing for asked me to read it, to see what her book "absolutely must not sound like", and so I suffered through the horrible, melodramatic sludge that was that book. It's alright though, it's over now.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Sweet little book
I read it all in one sitting - it's a cute little thing, makes you a little happy and a little sad. And it makes you feel like living your life in the proper order is something to be grateful for in itself.
