Question of the Week - Question of the Week #66: Favorite Poets
I've loved John Clare since I was a child. His works on nature and the countryside are beautiful and well-known, but his angonising poetry on his "madness" really touches me too.
Very interesting life and reaction to the social history of the time (enclosures) and English countryside.

psycheinaboat - Lovely to see your description of Jane Austen as your harmless gateway drug.
This has been a real comfort read to me since my late teens (I'm now 56). Whenever I feel unhappy, I start one of the novels again. there's something very relaxing about the stories and her writing style.

Help - Neat trick when reading from pc
Thanks, that's very helpful.
I'm fairly new to this site and i find it difficult to read everything on the screen, but printing things off is too expensive. With a book, I can curl up anywhere and read.
Does anyone have any other tips fpr making reading from a screen easier?
I've given up on two novels via DailyLit, but am now successfully reading my second volume of poetry as these are shorter and clearer on screen. A poem is a great way to start the day!

And now, finally propped in my corner, I sense little and am sensed even less. What was it all about?
