Having to learn to swim in an indoor pool. I remember having trouble learning to hold my breath under water. The next eventful experience I had with water was 10 or so years later when I joined the Navy at age 17...!!
The Magnificent Ambersons - Just finished!
Hello, I just finished reading "The Magnificent Ambersons," and enjoyed it very much. I had seen the movie recently, became intrigued and found Dailylit. The book was so well written, it seemed to me that Orsen Welles' task of writting the script was relatively easy. The descriptive nature of the book gave me tremendous insight into a small window of life as it was a few decades before the turn into the 20th century. What was your take on the book?
