A Study in Scarlet - Serious Historical Inaccuracy!

I absolutely agree. To make up such falsehoods is bad enough, and although disturbing, possibly forgivable under literary license. However, it seems he couldn't even be bothered to use the correct spelling, for goodness' sakes! All in all it was seriously disturbing.

There Will be Dragons - Enjoyable

Very enjoyable book - so much so I read most of it and finished it today. I didn't appreciate the bad language - that was more than a little off-putting. However, overall, very well written. Kept me interested from start to finish.

I very much enjoyed seeing the society and how it worked before "the fall", and the details of how they coped afterwards. Looking forward to more by this author. Sequels, hopefully?
