A bright light appeared above my head
Then, shadow like, it passed over the bed.
What the........
What is this?
And.... why is it here?

I knew that wasn't possible, for I was wide awake.
Then, recognizing who it was, I knew he was here for Debby'ssake.
"She thinks I was too mean to open heaven's door. She thought, for sure, I'd go to hell
and see no one no more."
A smile appeared upon his face.
"I'm here with grandma right now. Tell Debby it's alright and I came to you tonight to tell her not to cry."
I sat up and he was gone overalls and all. I scurried to the phone
I had to make a call.
The ringing stopped as her mom picked up the phone.
"Please", I said, into the piece.
"Tell Deb grandpas not alone!"
