My Antonia - My Antonia

What a vivid, beautiful story-- the landscape and characters just fly off the page. While it doesn't have much plot, it's a lovely read.

War and Peace - dude, it's long...

Anna Karenina. :) If I can make it through. haha.

War and Peace - dude, it's long...

Well, I just finished it. I'm glad I read it, but I wouldn't want to do it again! haha. Tolstoy really created a deep historical treatise that touches on the human philosophy and human nature. I learned a lot, but I'm happy it's over.

War and Peace - dude, it's long...

I'm about halfway through War and Peace and I can see why it's famous and why there are so many jokes about it's length. It's LONG, I mean I've been reading about 20 installments a day and I'm still only half done. The story is epic and drawn out-- the descriptions, detailed. But, there are sparkling moments in the book-- revealing its insight and genius. I hope I can hold out to the end, though, for I desperately want to be able to say that I've read War and Peace!
