Skinny Bitch - one of the better 'diet' books out there

Excellent information, baudy, naughty, funny. A valuable resource for anyone trying to get healthy and learn about how important certain positive choices are and how they affect us and those around us.

Valuable info about slaughterhouses, the government/epa/NPPC/USDA etc.,drugs and vitamins, excersize, attitude, mind/body connection.

Good further reading list and footnotes.

Skinny Bitch - Really a book on how to be a vegan.

I don't feel duped, nor do I feel like I've read a rant.I feel informed. Now more than ever I will be sure that if I choose meat, I will seek it out myself from local, family -owned farms where the animals are well-cared for and respectfully (not slaughterhouse done) killed and butchered.
The chapter on the slaughterhouse is informative and well documented. So are all the other chapters about vitamins, excersize, drugs, and taking care of your body & mind. I love that the information is presented and that the authors tell you to basically use your head and think for yourself.

I think this book can help a lot of people, but it won't tell us what we want to hear all the time and facts aren't always pretty or easy to take in.
