It would be nice to be able to get longer lists of authors/books when browsing. The first thing one wants to do is see what books you have and there are not yet so many books that one doesn't want to browse through them all. But to scan through them all using, say, Browse by Author takes way more clicks than the number of books warrants, I think. And remember that a book browser is likely to be doing it more than once. On your current service model surely DailyLit will always be challenged by the limitations of its book offerings--"I want the service but it doesn't have the classics I am looking for". I am thinking that you can break out of this bind by thinking of yourself as a provider of a text serialization service, rather than as a repository of literature. To get beyond the limits of the literature you house, allow users the option to provide a URL for any text file out on the web, and you just serve it up to them serially. Sure, it would not cut so cleanly, since you cannot preprocess it (into chapters and breakpoints), but you could make automated cuts clean enough, I think. This option would vastly increase the value of the service. E.g., the entire Gutenberg Project catalog would become available for serialization. Best, gr
