Started reading this with high expectations but found myself labouring through it and finally stopped reading after 20th installment. I could see the humour in it but it was just too painfully detailed and I couldn't go further with it. Very disappointing.
A nice enough tale, I quite enjoyed the story but was not really taken with the writing style. A main character's habit of talking in the third person was slightly irritating, and the language a bit flowery at times. I can't say I picked a favourite character! if pressed I would say Kathleen because she seemed the most even tempered.
I am just starting this.. it is also my first DailyLit book, I chose it because it is a genre I like (fantasy/science fiction) and the number of installments didn't seem too bad. I will see whether my thoughts agree with yours when I finish!
