Question of the Week - Favorite Banned Books

Alice in Wonderland

The Beautiful and Damned - I liked Gatsby better.

I enjoyed reading this novel but must say that I enjoyed Fitzgerald's Gatsby much, much more. I think the characters in Gatsby were much more relatable, though still tragic. Though I started out not really liking the character Gloria, I actually was more empathetic to her than Anthony toward the end. This was a depressing story but also a good lesson in going after life and not just waiting for things to happen to you.

Anna Karenina - classic lit but very long

I wanted to read this because it is a significant part of classic literature and I have never read any Tolstoy. It was quite long but I appreciated the detail that Tolstoy put into the descriptions of, well, everything. I really identified with the character of Levin, as I'm often fighting myself on my own personal philosophy of life. I feel very accomplished that I got through the book and look forward to conquering other works by Tolstoy.

The Life Plan - Motivating but not life-changing

I got motivated by reading this book and was given good ideas but many of them did not pertain to my personal situation. I have read a few motivational type books and this was a decent one.
