The end was nigh!
My fate had been sealed by the exploding bus, metal shards ripping through pedestrians on sidewalks. One such shard pierced my jacket, adrip in blood. I stumbled to my feet and the shard fell to the concrete. The blood was not mine.
Alas, a new beginning.
