LB is pretty good so far, but I wish he wouldn't spend so much time explaining tech stuff (rfid, botnet, arg, etc.). I mean I get that not everyone is an internet geek like me, but I don't think he gives the reader enough credit for being able to figure stuff out.The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes - Should be tagged "mystery"... - posted 4 months ago
Maybe also "classic" and/or whatever else you have the other Holmes stuff as. There's no "reader tagging", is there?Ideas - This might be of interest - posted 4 months ago
I don't know about sourcing the text of these books, but it looks like there may be a lot of more recent (1923 to 1963) stuff that isn't on, say, gutenberg, that could be out of copyright:http://booksearch.blogspot.com/2008/06/us-copyright-renewal-records-available.html

Discourse on the Method of Rightly Conducting One's Reason and of Seeking Truth - Decartes' Reasoning is Current - posted last year
Too much thinking on any one thing means that implicitly anything else is thought about too little. What does it mean for something's importance to be lost if it does not mean that people *consider it less*? Too much thinking on one thing implies the importance of all else being diminished.Discourse on the Method of Rightly Conducting One's Reason and of Seeking Truth - Decartes' Reasoning is Current - posted last year
"if man spent too much time thinking about yesterday, today's importance would be lost"Surely Descartes would have recognized this as a tautology. "too much" is by definition excessive, ergo bad in some way.

Gutenberg has a couple (http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/f#a3763), but what I'd be more interested in seeing is a bundle of the "Thinking Machine" short stories here: http://www.futrelle.com/Book Requests - Frank Duff's "Lysergically Yours" - posted last year
seconded.Ideas - A listing of recently added titles - posted last year
A listing of recently added titles would be great.Ratings:
