Get Cooking - Get Cooking
I've been a fan of Mollie Katzen for years. I think "The Enchanted Broccoli Forest" was the first book by her that I purchased back in the early '80s. "Get Cooking" is a nice collection of easy-to-follow recipes. I tried the portabello mushroom dish and loved it.
Dracula - Dracula
There's a reason this is a classic. It's a great book. Most of us know the general outline of the story because of other adaptations of the Dracula story, but if you haven't already read the original by Bram Stoker, do it.
Question of the Week - Question of the Week #47: Words to Live By
We went to my Dad's all-school reunion sometime in the mid-'60s. There was a display of class mottos and this one for a 1920-something high school class made a real impression on me:
"Don't grow a wishbone where your backbone should be."
Question of the Week - Question of the Week #46: Childhood Favorites
I loved The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Our teacher read it to us when we were in third grade and I read it on my own several times after that.
