Question of the Week - Pivotal Moments in Life
After working in NYC after graduation for several years, I found myself bored and miserable. It had been my dream job, my entire goal during college, and an exciting job (for a while) but it was a bust as a career and a future. What to do? I went back to grad school: first to an M.F.A. program for playwriting, then a PHh.D. for theatre. I became a playwright, a scholar, and a professor, I met the people who were truly on my life path--great colleagues and friends--and I found a spiritual and intellectual home. It's been a blast--but if I hadn't jumped out of a secure, successful situation and into a complete unknown... I wouldn't be here now.
