The Count of Monte Cristo - love this book
I expected Count of Monte Cristo to be dry too, and was surprised that it's not.
But it is very very long.
I'm reading it now for the first time. I became interested in reading it after watching V for Vendetta, where they watch the movie Count of Monte Cristo ("find your own tree"), and I was interesting in finding the connections between the book and V for Vendetta. I plan to watch the movie version of Count of Monte Cristo later. What version of the movie is the best?
I'm at the part in the book where Franz goes to the Carnival with Fernand's son Albert and Dantes. I hope Dantes and Mercedes get back together.
