Question of the Week - Your Sexiest Meal
Ahhh, it has to be the times when we each have 8" cheese pizzas at Little Bite of Italy. He always has black olives on his and I choose other toppings such as artichokes. We drink iced tea and dwell in one another's eyes, faces, and voices.
Authors in the Kitchen - Good Series
This would have been perfect except for the last installment which was only a recipe unlike the very interesting interviews of authors and their experences with food that came before. The last was a letdown. However, most of these installments were excellent.

Question of the Week - What gets you up in the morning?
I get up to cook--oat groats with a poached egg on top with hot sauce for breakfast--and then to plan for dinner from my vast collection of cookbooks. In the meantime, I know I will enjoy the current book(s) I am reading and also on most days also I read excerpts out of my Bible.
Question of the Week - Question of the Week #28: For Adults Only
I'm like terpsgirl102. My first adult book isn't considered a classic, but I was just a young, young girl reading children's books when I discovered Old Yeller in my parents bedroom. Old Yeller is a dog and I loved the book and astonished myself at the end that I had actually read a book written to entertain adults.
Wikipedia Tour: World Capitals - Wasn't my thing.
I just couldn't get interested in spending much time researching "my cities." All I mostly did was see the city name, know or guess the country it was capital of, and cheer when I was right. That was it.
Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass - Put Yourself in a Slave's Place
This was a great book. It showed the horrors and terrorism the early American slave faced daily. Mr. Douglass was intelligent, learned to read, and perserved in gaining his freedom, but I'm not giving it all away. Do read this book. I advanced to two readings one day, I was so enthralled with his story.

Dusk was settling into the lightly wooded scrub tree area where Uncle Charles had selected a higher tree to hang a sow carcass.
The aunt held a large box as Charles cut parts from the pig and Grandmother and I fanned the humid air to keep flies on the outskirts of the deed being done. Little Bobby played in the dirt nearby.
Uncle Charles kept handing swine parts to the aunt and would say things such as, "These will make good chittlin's..."
