  good book, bad ending. Wow, so this book is very different from both movies. I kept imaging the original movie at the beginning of the book and was fully expecting it to follow the same story line. I quickly realized that was not the case at all. The more recent of the two movies diverges even more from the book. This is not a comparison review of the movies to the book though. The book is very well written and a very easy read as well. Its a quick read if someone wanted to sit and get through it in a quick few hours. It's very engaging and I enjoyed it thoroughly although towards the ending I did not care much for it at all. It seemed towards the end Mr. Wells simply wanted to end the book and get on to the next. It was still an ejoyable book that I would recommend overall I posted this on 16 December 2009

The Time Machine - good book, bad ending.
