Idiot jounalists who don't know the difference between your and you're.

Question of the Week - Favorite Banned Books

I fell in love with Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn as a youth. In this modern world of Political correctness I realize the problems many readers have with it, but it is still my favorite among the CURRENTLY often banned books.

Question of the Week - Which Book Title Best Describes You?

Alice in Wonderland

Reader Challenges - Heads or Tails!

"Heads Up!" he said. As we all dragged our tails to work.

A Christmas Carol - A Christmas Carol

As a boy growing up in Iowa and Illinois, my mother insisted that we read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens between Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. I loved it then and still love it. Movies and TV have never created it so well as my imagination.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - Huckleberry Finn

Samuel Clemens greatest bit of writing as Mark Twain.

Great Expectations - Great Expectations

I don't remember ever reading this Dickens classic. If I haven't, I am delighted I am reading it now. I believe the author has the same great
gift as Orson Scott Card, the ability to convey the very inner thoughts and feelings of a young person.

With a Little Help - With a Little Help

This Cory Doctorow sci-fi tale is set in the future, but many of the things happening coulod happen in our present. I find it intriquing.

Reader Challenges - Spring Incarnated

Spring came in like a lamb
Gentle, mild and sunny
And she'll go out the self-same way
I'll bet you even money.

Question of the Week - Question of the Week #50: Characters for Kids

Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. She loved the oddest characters, was loyal to them and soldiered right to the end. There's no place like home!

3 Short Reads by Edgar Allan Poe - Poe Review

Having loved Poe since I first read any of his works over 65 years ago and having several books of his material including his complete works, I rate these three as among his best. I especially enjoy "The Raven". Perhaps the only Poe work I rate higher might be Anabel Lee.

Reader Challenges - 6 Word Autobiography

Born Young. Lived Long. Die Soon.

Etc. - Question of the Week #7: Holiday Edition

Some great suggestions have been made. I believe I would offer them a copy of the Book of Mormon, which would build on their knowledge of the gospel from the Bible and help them more fully realize the great gift God has given all men and women.
