This is why Poe is a master. The first paragraph is nearly incoherent babbling about not babbling, continuous references to sanity when the man is clearly ~not~ sane, just makes it all the more disturbing when you imagine this man--who is rather thin and foolish-looking in my mental eye--sneaking around plotting to murder an EYE.
