Dracula - Difficult!

Madame de Staël - Biography Lite

I was addicted to biographies when I was in junior high and I kept thinking of those as I read Madame de Stael.... This isn't an "academic" biography; it's clearly written for a popular audience and, as such, was quite enjoyable. In my opinion, it is an overview of the more exciting and titillating aspects of her life. Nevertheless, I wanted to slap her frequently and some of her men even more frequently! I had never heard of her and am pleased I now know who she was and I learned a LOT about the French Revolution!

One of the things I really like about reading books through Daily Lit is that I already am on my computer and it is so easy to Google topics and people and images of the people. It provided much needed context and added strikingly to my enjoyment.

Secret Adversary - A delightful, quick read

A delightful surprise—it’s funny! Gently so.

E.g.,
