Behind a Mask - Entertaining

I've read before reviews of this book and fairly knew what to expect. Though, I didn't fully believed that L. M. Alcott was able to write on a non-moralizing subject. And it proved to be funny and with a surprising ending. Surprising mostly because, after reading some of her children's books, I was expecting that the 'bad' heroine be punished and the narrator deliver us a preach on the value of honesty.

Jane Austen: Her Life and Letters - Appropriate

A very sedate account of Jane Austen's life. Though, after finishing the book I'm left with the impression that it matches very well with Jane's life and that it reveals her more than a modern biography can because it's written in the style of the period. One surprise for me was to find out that their letter writing style was quite like the one used in Jane's books or that they used to write on a letter small pieces in multiple days before sending it. Those are the kind of little details that I might have missed had I read a modern account of her life.

Lyrical Ballads - Entertaining and accessible

Entertaining and easy to read, especially for someone who is not so much into poetry and is not a native English speaker.
