  interesting at the beginning... wow! i'm surprised to be the first to rate this short story! it is interesting and fun at the beginning, but i felt like it got a bit boring as it went on. perhaps i didn't look well enough for symbolism and imagery to fully appreciate it! i love fitzgerald's writings in general, but this one is my least favorite. perhaps i will like it one day, though! tastes change! • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button finished

  short story vs. movie it was an interesting short story that i looked forward to reading every day. i am interested in reading other of fitgerald's short stories now. the movie is not very similar to the short story, but it is fun to compare the two. anyone up to comparing the two? add a comment... The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - disappointing....

the movie is actually quite different than the short story. fitzgerald's work just inspired the movie but is not very close to it in many ways. for example, in the movie, benjamin is born a baby and is as small as one, unlike the short story. spoiler alert: he loves daisy (hildegarde) and loves her the rest of his life, unlike the short story again. i love fitzgerald, but in fact, i prefer the movie to the short story.
